Tram network

- total length 107 km

On 16 October 2004, a short tram tunnel opened in central Den Haag after several years of delay. The 1.3 km underground section runs under Grote Marktstraat and includes two underground stations, Grote Markt and Spui. The tram tunnel is used by lines 2, 3, 4 and 6.

Lines 3, 4 and E are part of the so-called RandstadRail network, with lines 3 and 4 running to Zoetermeer on a line formerly used by suburban trains, and line E to Rotterdam on the old Hofpleinlijn, which is now linked to the Rotterdam metro system.

In November 2011, HTM ordered 40 vehicles of Siemens' new Avenio tram: 35 m long, 100 % low-floor, four sections. Delivery to The Hague is scheduled to start in February 2014.

On 19 May 2019, line 4 was extended from Javalaan to Lansingerland-Zoetermeer (2 km).
