Tram line 112 runs from Mülheim to the neighbouring city of Oberhausen, where since 1996 it has been operating on a dedicated right-of-way between Oberhausen Hauptbahnhof and Sterkrade, a route that is shared by CityExpress buses. This tram line also serves the new area referred to as Neue Mitte (CentrO).
