Special Features of Line 2:

Total length: 9.4 km, 16 stations

Small profile line with 60 m long platforms (4-car trains of class 2000 in service)

In 1932, a branch opened from Goya to Diego de León, which was integrated in line 4 in 1958.

From 1964 until 1970, Line 2 continued from Ventas to Ciudad Lineal; this stretch is now part of Line 5.

Line 2 is being extended from its eastern terminus La Elipa to Las Rosas with 4 new stations (4.5 km)
